Imamia Jantri Official News Desk: Punjab Government has decided to launch recue 1122 air ambulance in high risk areas of Punjab. Director-General Rescue 1122 Dr Rizwan Naseer said that the Government of Punjab has taken all possible measures to improve the Rescue 1122 service in Province. He said that the rescue emergency service is dealing with 1,000 road accidents in all districts on daily basis.
Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar said that Punjab will be the first province with rescue 1122 air ambulance service. He further said that Government had also extended the scope of rescue to 86 tehsils while the motorcycle ambulance service was expanded to 27 districts.
According to the laws it is necessary to register the vehicle to operate as an ambulance with the Punjab Emergency Services Department.
According to statistics a total number of 4,719 private and government vehicles are currently registered as ambulance in the records of Department, while a fewer of them are on road, owing to this gap is filled by private organizations but they are charging high amount is order to provide services to the patients
