Imamia Jantri Official News Desk: Federal minister of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said that the reservations of Pakistan Media Development authorities will be addressed because the government believes in freedom of expression and journalists.

Minister said there are seven regulatory authorities are working in Pakistan, includes PEMRA, Press Council of Pakistan, Pakistan Telecom Authority, Central Board of Film Censors, Press registrar’s office, Audit Bureau of Circulation and Implementation Tribunal for Newspaper Employees.

Federal Minister said that Government is ready to amend the proposed bill of PMDA. He added that media workers are not being given media contracts, even they are not paid on time and have no any forum where they might be able to register complaints against their rights.

He assured the RIUJ delegation that their problems will be sorted. The RIUJ delegation included President Shakeel Ahmed, , General Secretary Siddique Anzar, Vice President Muneeba Iftikhar, Rana Rizwan, Usman Khan , Joint Secretaries Azhar Sharif , Umar jut , Shazia Tahir , Finance secretary Ayaz Akbar , Executive Members Usman Mughal and Zubair Khan , Nasir Abbas , Usman Malik and Syed Yaseen Hashmi.
